Professional Achievements

Smart Chick Megan Orser allocates her time between Smart Apartment Solutions, educating her staffers in Leasing, Customer Service, Marketing and Fair Housing to name a few, and Smart Moves LLC, where Megan is Director of Property Management.

Smart Moves LLC, currently manages nine single-family homes (some within existing multi-family properties) across the State of Michigan; in Harper Woods, Flint and Owosso, Michigan. Smart Apartment Moves, added a dba of Smart Moves, was founded in 2014 but did not start to grow until late 2018 and 2019 during which time, the brand was expanded to add commercial space; dba's of Smart Moves Residential and Smart Moves Commercial were founded.

This growth is due to continued focus on expanding the portfolio and proving to new owners that we could lease ethically, quickly, and with better rents to lead the market.

Megan Orser conducted market studies in the prospective markets, and utilized technology to market the units with videos, social media and QR codes to make applying easy for applicants.

Megan along with her Smart Moves team have successfully maintained 100% occupancy, and helped grow the portfolio by 120% in 2019, with prospects to increase the unit count 100% by 2021.

One unique attribute about Smart Moves LLC, is that we are managing a portfolio for a State Representative, and in doing so, we have been able to have an advocate for our industry, which has helped us with endorsements on our current legislative bills, giving our industry a voice where it matters most.

In August 2019 Smart Moves LLC, won Independent Rental Owner of the Year!
